Dinosaur Dirt Pudding Cups
We’re taking the traditional Dirt and Worms Cups and making them perfect for a dinosaur party by adding gummy dinosaurs to the top.

Kids love these tasty little treats because they get their own cup.

And who doesn’t love Oreo cookies?

KEY TO SUCCESS #1 – THE EASY PUDDING METHOD
This cute and easy dinosaur party idea starts with a simple box of chocolate pudding.

The easy way to make the chocolate pudding is by using the shake method.

If you’ve never heard of the shake method, you’re in luck because I’m going to share the secret with you right now.

First, find a medium-sized glass or plastic bowl with a tight-fitting lid.

Next, pour the milk into the bowl then sprinkle the pudding mix on top of it.

Close the lid tightly and shake the bowl until you start to hear the pudding thickening, about 1 minute.

I like to place one hand on top of the lid and one hand on the bottom of the bowl and shake it up and down.

If you’re worried about spillage, shake the bowl over the sink.

After shaking the pudding, place the bowl in the refrigerator at least 5 minutes until it thickens up.

KEY TO SUCCESS #2 – LAYER IT UP
Once the pudding is firm, it’s time to layer up the pudding cups.

You’ll need eight 9-ounce clear plastic cups for your pudding cups.

Start by adding a layer of chocolate pudding to each cup.

Next, add a layer of Cool Whip whipped topping.

Then add another layer of pudding.

Finally, top it off with a thick layer of crushed Oreo cookies.

I wanted my dirt cups to look very irregular with the layers so I used a small spoon to add the pudding and whipped topping.

If you prefer precise layers, you can add the pudding and the whipped topping to separate plastic zip-top baggies then snip the ends to create a piping bag.

KEY TO SUCCESS #3 – MAKE IT FESTIVE
To add a dinosaur touch to these simple dirt pudding cups, we’re adding gummy dinosaur candies to the top of each cup.

You can find the Haribo gummy dinosaurs in the candy aisle at Walmart or they are available on Amazon.

Stick two or three gummy dinosaurs into the Oreo crumbs, stick a festive spoon into each cup, and you’re all set.

Set your dirt cups out onto a tray or a wooden serving board then place a label in front of it with the name of your treats.

We named these “Dinosaur Landing Cups” and they were so cute!

They ended up being a big hit with the smaller kids.
