Dino Ham and Cheese Sliders
I love these sliders for their simplicity and ease.

They cook in about 15-20 minutes in the oven
Dino Ham and Cheese Sliders

KEY TO SUCCESS #1 – USE DELI SLICED HAM
The first thing that makes these sliders a standout is the deli sliced ham.

When I say deli sliced ham, I mean ham that has been freshly sliced at the deli counter.

Many supermarkets provide this service free of charge.

If you use Walmart Grocery Pickup, you can even find deli sliced ham on the app.

Ask the deli clerk to slice the ham thin.

When assembling the sandwiches, I often use a full slice of ham then just fold it to fit onto the bun.

KEY TO SUCCESS #2 – CHEESE ON TOP, CHEESE ON THE BOTTOM
We’re using regular Kraft Singles on these ham and cheese sliders.

You can use any variety of cheese that you like.

White American cheese would be really delicious on these sandwiches.

Fold the cheese slices in half then in half again to make four small cheese quarters.

This will give you slices of cheese that are the right size to fit on the the King’s Hawaiian Rolls.

Place a cheese quarter on top of the ham and underneath the ham.

This method helps hold the sliders together.

KEY TO SUCCESS #3 – SERVE IN A WARMING BREAD BASKET
Warming bread baskets are a great option for serving these Dino Ham & Cheese Sliders.

Look for a warming breadbasket that has a terra cotta warmer that fits into the bottom of it.

You can heat the terra cotta disk in the oven for 10 minutes and place it in the bottom of the basket to keep the sliders warm.

I lined my basket with a piece of food-grade butcher paper to give the sliders an organic look to fit the dino theme of the party.

Add a label to tell your party guests the “dino name” for these sliders.

We used sticky Dinosaur-themed name tags and stick them to small pieces of card stock that have been folded into tents.

You can find printable tent cards at your local office supply store if you want to print some Dinosaur-themed food tags.
