You guys! You are not going to believe how simple it is to make Barbecue Smoked Sausages. These Barbecue Smoked Sausages can either be a main dish or an easy hors d’oeuvre for your next gathering.

We like to make the smoked sausages as our main dish and serve them with hashbrown casserole, purple hull peas, and hot water cornbread. This is one of our “special occasion” meals.
Barbecue Smoked Sausages
Did I mention that this is a simple recipe? It only takes three ingredients and less than 10 minutes to prep.

Sadly, I didn’t take picture of the ingredients before I started so that you could see exactly what products I use. I think the brand of smoked sausages makes a big difference. My favorite sausages to use for this recipe is the Hillshire Farms Beef Smoked Sausages. I always call them horseshoes sausages. The Hillshire Farms website calls them rope sausages. Whatever. I like my name for them better.

THREE SIMPLE INGREDIENTS
Anyway, back to the recipe. For the BBQ sauce, I prefer Head Country Original Bar-B-Q sauce. I think it’s a perfect blend of sweet and savory. You can use another brand if you’d prefer.

THE STEPS
Alright, now that we’ve gotten the ingredients, let’s go through how to put it all together. It’s seriously simple. You just slice the sausages into bite-sized pieces then throw it all into the casserole dish with the BBQ sauce and the grape jelly. You don’t even have to stir them together! Just throw it in and stick it in the oven. Be sure you cover the casserole dish with an oven-safe lid or aluminum foil.

That’s it!  Here’s the full recipe for you to save or print. I’ll be posting the recipe for the hashbrown casserole soon so check back for that or subscribe so that you can get updates on all our new posts!
