Summer means lots of fresh and sweet melons. To beat the heat we tend to buy more of melons. So does I. I bought at least 2 kgs of musk melon at a go. When started to eat some of them turned out unsweet. As always kids refused to eat those bland melons. So kept those chopped melon inside the fridge. Next day morning when I started looking into fridge to make some chilled drink in breakfast, first thing I saw was those bland chopped melons, thought will make some drink with it.
Tried my hands on musk-melon shake. After that I started buying more of melons just to make shake.
It's yummy..creamy..light flavour was loved by everyone in my family.
I had some ice-cream left with me so I added vanilla ice-cream in it which is completely optional. I tried shake without ice-cream too, it taste as good.
Ice-cream adds more creaminess in the shake.
My melon was completely bland so I added 2 tbsp of sugar.
Do take taste test before serving as sugar level may differ depending on the sweetness of melon.
Serves :2 glasses
✅ INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups chopped muskmelon
- 2 glasses of chilled milk
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 3-4 scoops of vanilla ice-cream
- chopped musk melon and mint leaf for garnishing
✅ INGREDIENTS
- Blend together muskmelon and sugar till both dissolves well. Add vanilla ice-cream and chilled milk. Give it one more churn.
- Transfer in serving glass, add a scoop of ice-cream, garnish with melon and mint leaf.
